The Quarter Tones are a San Francisco-based cello quartet.

Donation accepted at the door

Official Kick-off Party and Preview of the 10th annual Summer Season bringing together filmmakers, friends, sponsors and supporters. The party commences with a no-host bar, hors d’oeuvres and live music. This year, the program features a short line-up of films and trailers. The excitement includes the announcement of winners of the Best of Bernal and Spirit of Bernal Awards.

Cortland Avenue is home to the 4th Friday night Film Crawl that winds its way through six venues spread across the commercial corridor of Bernal Heights. The Film Crawl sites present short screenings that run throughout the evening, requiring the audience to walk to multiple locations along the short 3-block distance to see a selection of on-going films.

Under the Stars at Precita Park — Season finale

Films & live music in the park

The venue for the traditional “under the stars” screening closes the 10th season.The long, flat expanse of grass is a comfortable viewing area for the night’s film line-up and preceding live music/entertainment. Community partners set up concession tables with refreshments and information. Neighborhood cafés border the east and west end of the park. Audience members are reminded to dress appropriately, bring temporary seating along with lots of family members and friends.

La Gente is a Bay Area based international recording group led by singer-songwriter Rafael Bustamante Sarria. The group has created their own unique multilingual blend of Reggae, Cumbia, Hip-Hop, Salsa, Rock, and World Music. They perform a high energy dance party and have cultivated a large, loyal and diverse following.
